Privacy policy.
What GeniGPT collects, what happens to the photos you upload, and how to have your data deleted — in plain language.
Last updated July 2, 2026. This page is the privacy policy for genigpt.net, the GeniGPT custom GPT, and the GeniGPT Telegram bot. The terms and conditions govern use of the service itself.
Who we are.
GeniGPT (operated by an individual) is the data controller for the information described on this page. For checkout and billing, our Reseller (Merchant of Record) is the controller of payment details and tax and invoicing data; we never see or store full card numbers. We receive limited transaction metadata — amount, product, timestamps, and the buyer email — so your Pro credits can be matched to you.
What we collect.
- Content you submit: prompts, uploaded photos, and the images or videos generated for you, plus the feature settings used to make them.
- Contact details: an email address, only if you provide one — the free tools work without it.
- Safety records: logs of content-moderation actions and filter triggers, kept for safety and compliance.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser and OS, and cookies or similar technologies for security and analytics.
- Payments: handled by the Reseller at checkout; we do not collect or store full card data.
Your photos and face data.
This is the part most people come here for, so here it is first and plainly.
What uploads are used for. Photos you upload are used to run the service: to produce the edit, portrait, or headshot you asked for, and to keep the tool safe (automated content-safety checks). If you explicitly request a personal face model (a Pro feature), your selfies are used to train that model for your use.
Face data. Tools like Reimagine and Headshots necessarily process the face in the photo you upload in order to generate your result. We process it only to provide the feature you requested — we do not use it to identify you, build advertising profiles, or sell to anyone.
Deletion. You can request deletion of your uploads, your generated results, and any personal face model at any time by emailing [email protected] from the address you used (or with the approximate date and tool you used, if you gave no email — in that case we delete what we can locate and verify as yours). We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days and will confirm when it is done.
Provenance metadata. Our policy is for generated images to carry invisible IPTC metadata labeling them as AI-generated — text inside the file, never a watermark on the image.
How we use data.
- Provide and improve the service — generation, editing, support, and safety.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and violations, including sanctions and geo-compliance.
- Enforce content policies and safety measures.
- Analytics and performance monitoring (see cookies below).
- Legal compliance — tax and audit records, lawful requests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Who we share data with.
- Model-hosting providers: the AI models that generate your result run on specialized infrastructure; your prompt and photo are sent there solely to produce your output.
- Reseller (Merchant of Record): checkout, tax, invoicing, refunds, subscriptions, and chargebacks.
- Safety providers: automated content-safety detection, solely for moderation.
- Vendors: hosting, storage, logging, analytics, and email or support tooling, under agreements that require them to follow our instructions.
- Legal: where required by law, or to enforce our terms and protect rights.
Cookies and analytics.
We use Google Analytics with Consent Mode: analytics cookies stay off until you accept them in the banner, and you can decline with one click. Even if you decline, basic aggregate usage pings still reach Google Analytics in cookieless form — no analytics cookies are set and they are not used to identify you. Necessary cookies and similar storage are used for security and to make the tools work. You can also control cookies in your browser settings.
Retention and transfers.
We keep data only as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal and tax obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymized. Generated images are kept available for download for a limited time. If you request deletion, we may retain narrow records where the law permits or requires it — for example fraud prevention or safety compliance — and nothing else.
We and our vendors may process data in multiple countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as data processing agreements and approved transfer mechanisms.
Your rights.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] — no form, no hoops. For checkout and billing data managed by the Reseller, use the billing support link in your receipt.
GeniGPT is not directed to children under 18. If you are under 18, you may not use the service.
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page.
